I'm looking for a set of 30"x15 or 16" deep drop rims. Mine are 13" wide, and would like to have wider. Or, has anyone widened rims before? How did it work out? I'm in Northern Va, but can travel maybe 150 miles for a good usable set. Thanks everyone!

most pulls don't allow welded rims even though I have seen some cut and welded in and out that would have been fine . done right you can't even tell it . but if the weld fails it could really injure someone

That's my biggest worry about welding them. Rims are under tremendous tensile strains to begin with, and to possibly weaken the steel's integrity by the rapid heating associated with welding leaves me weary of wether or not it will come apart under strain. Unfortunately, though, new rims are a little beyond my financial range. That's why i'm trying to find a decent, affordable used set.

Hey preacher man, There"s a guy in Kansas that will make you a rim up to 20" wide. I"m running 15x30 on my W-6 and would like to go to out to 17". My computor crashed and I lost all my data, sorry. I hope he responds as to I will need his number as well. I have seen quite a few rims that were welded and if done right, you will have no problems. Good Luck,
Charles
