Im Trying to buy a M&W 860E crank & 4 AP 175 pistons. Are they the right pistons for the stroker crank, what compression? Want to put the set up in a 54 Super MTA. I have a 450 LP head also what would the compression be with it. I havent seen the parts yet but the seller said the pistons where domed. From the bits of info Ive gathered off YTmag site The AP 75 is a flat top that bumps compression about .3 over stock so is a AP175 a stroker piston that bumps compression .3? 177s & 179s seem to be for the stroker crank, how about 175s? Any help would be great.

The SP-175 is a 4 1/8 bore piston for Super M, MTA, and early 400(engine #31240 and below) for the M&W stroker crankshaft. The compression is listed at 7.1 with a gas head and brings the displacement to 307 cubic inches.

Could scan the page out of the M&W book if you need.

The 179's are for the 450 MW stroker,4.25 bore.I have them in my engine.I believe the 177's are 4 1/8 bore and the 175's would be for the 4.0 bore.
