As long as the surfaces are fresh, or good and flat, coppercoat should do the trick. The thing about copper gaskets is,, you cant just throw em on, start them up and expect it not to leak,,, the coppercoat has to set up in all the little areas,, When you go to torque the heads down, do it in sequences,,, torque them to 30lbs, and leave it sit overnight, then go back and retorque the heads to spec, but keep the torques as even as you can, there is no give with copper gaskets, so overtorquing wont do you any good. I usually put a can or to of copper sealant in the radiator for good measure. Hope this helps, Chad

There is one more option,,, Annealing the gasket, which is heating it with a torch till its just barely red and scotch brite the surface. That makes it really soft, and may help to sink the orings into the copper. Chad

I would never do that, good way to wreck your gasket!! That will just make it weak. Brian, call Clark up in the twin cities, he'll give you all the correct info you need. But hey, its' your choice!! LOL
