Does anyone know how or what kind of a toggle switch i would need to start my 1256 IH. im tired of the push button and want a toggle switch. do i use a springloaded MOMENTARY-OFF-MOMENTARY switch for the starter? and where can i find these at?

John Deere large-frame 55-, 60- and 8000/8010-series tractors use a pretty heavy-duty, weatherproof spring-loaded toggle switch mounted on the back of the tractor to raise and lower the hitch from the ground. They're two-way switches with a nuetral, raise and lower position, but you could just wire to one side easy enough. I don't know what their amperage capacity is, so I'd definitely use another start relay between the switch and solenoid to keep it safe.
