Looking for someone who can make lighter weights

I pull with several people who would like to have suitcase weights that weigh around 50lbs or less and are thin enough to put on the weight brackets that normal 100lb suitcase weights go on. Does anyone know of some one that can cast weights or press them out of 1/2 steel? Need at least 4000lbs

Find a local welding shop that has a computer controled cutting torch, draw a blueprint as to what you want and they should be able to cut it out. our local shop cut some for me the same shape as IH rear wheel weights out of 1/4 inch steel and they weigh 33 lbs. each. they work great for antique stock pulling. They even cut some front wheel weights too.

Craig welding in Mentone Ind. can. He will make any kind of weight you want. I had some front wheel weights made of 1/2 steel cut to my size. He has cut suit case weights for others as well.

Many steel suppliers can cut plate to size and only charge another 15 cents a pound more to cut it.Good thing is you only pay for what steel you get not the drop.Just send them the dementions and they cut to size.A sq.ft of steel 1"thick wieghs 40.8 lbs.

If you will do a search in this forum I think that this was discussed a few weeks ago. Seems alot of people replied with places that made weights like you are talking about. I know someone makes 45 pounders as I have some but their is not a name on them.

Some guys around here cut 100# wts. in half. A ban saw cuts a slot for the bottom half to be hung also. Getting old sometimes stinks, although the opposite ain't to great either.
