I been workin on a JD 4440 open station. Installin a new turbo to try to get over 225 HP outta the 'ol girl. Not stock engine butstill needs a clutch and some paint, tires and other parts and she'll be all ready to beat them binders ;)Just my 2 cents DF

As usual, I've been working on everything else but what I should. Selling off MM parts and extra tractors.

Ive got a Farmall 504 that Ive bolted 460 frame rails to and am building a Farmall 606 with a C221. Its gonna be pretty light I think I can pull 4500 - 6500.

Id like to know how you think it is imposible. Ive seen one built identicle to how i am building mine and it was right at 75hp, stock stroke. The set up is using a powerblock if that answers anything for you.

75 hp at 540PTO, or pulled down? It may show 75hp pulled way down, but when you correct that number for the lower RPM then its not 75hp.

Even if its a power block cut out and sleeved big, I still think you're dreamin'.

Not a new tractor to me but the paint will be.I forgot how much time is involved with block sanding and preparation. The sheet metal looked very good till the old paint got stripped and there are little peck dents all over.Them old Ollies have lots of sheetmetal too.

Still waiting on parts and machine work. Hopefully back together before the new year. For some reason there are lots of other tractor engines in the machine shop slowing down my progress! Ha Ha
