can someone tell me how i can get stuck rings off aluminum pistons without breaking ring grooves. is there something i can soak them in to loosen the rings

JD, I have had good luck with heating the piston with a torch and if any of the ring is above the ring land area just tap with a plastic hammer and spray with penetrating oil. Heat directly on the ring & the ring land . The tension on the ring will help them to pop out .Take your time, you are trying to save the piston. Earl
