Anyone using a computer program to keep up with puller entries and distances. These records are a bear to keep up with.

OK! The program is cleaned up, documented, and packaged. I added several more reports and put in some additional settings that were requested. It's got a website and an order form and an ad in the next issue of The Hook.

You can see screenshots and samples of all the reports at the website: http://www.hammerdata.com/TrackerPull/

If you want to see how it works, you can request a demo. I''m happy to get online with you, show you the program and answer any questions you have.

It's called TrackerPull. I hope you like it and that it saves you lots of time and trouble and math!

I actually wrote a program over the course of last season to see if I could keep the records this way for my husband's pulling club. It came out pretty well. The club is switching to it for next season. It is based on a database package called Sesame Database Manager. I'm one of Sesame's developers and used this as a real-world project to test the software. Sesame can be had for only $49 for a downloadable single user version. $75 if you want printed manuals.

The program came out so well, I was going to clean it up and put an ad in the Hook to see if any other clubs are interested.

When my husband showed me this thread, I took a few screenshots and ran some reports with sanitized names so you could see it. Let me know what you think!

Wow! I had no idea so many of you would be interested. I guess I better get this thing done, eh? I'm surprised I haven't gotten any smart-alec remarks about the tractor I use in the reports when I don't know what tractor it actually is - 1942 WopWallis 920

I set up a spreadsheet in Excell last night just to see what i could do. It worked pretty good and if you enter the info while the pull is going at the end of the class you can make it sort the distances to tell you the placing. Seems to work pretty good. Semd me an email and I'll send it to you. If you don't have Excell I have the spreadsheet for Micrsoft Works as well.

I enter the information for USAP, CKAP and BGAP. I have template set up in EXCELL, then enter names, from, tractor, distance, pull off from each pull.

I told Spotter I couldn't make it down there this year due to Doug's work--but would be more than glad to help. Let me know if you need anything else, Spotter knows how to reach me. Email open

Bout the only thing I have seen used is a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel or something. Would be easy to set up and might even use something like Access (database) as they can be set you input info as you want to also.

Might look and see if there is a program that car racing or something uses that might be adapted also.

I'll look around and see if anything pops up.
