Cecil Foley won the KOH with a John Deere! John Deere folks missed a good track. It was definately a JD track. Jim Massey from Greenville won the other side. More later as the sec. or pres will post results!!!!!

I heard from a witness that the Moline out distanced the Deere but was DQ'd for speed. Sounds like the Deere won by default.

There was a DQ. The horn did blow. I was out in the parking lot and heard the horn blowing over the PA system. That is the driver's responsibility to get a feel for his tractor's speed. Tractor pulling is not just about the tractor. It's the tractor and the driver. All of this will be out on video in a couple of weeks.

The horns are an issue. The horn on the red sled sounded off in the 7500 4mph class when I was pulling and I thought it was the blue sled Jeff Sammons was pulling at the same time. Luckily I realized it was me and slowed down, but I honestly thought it was the other sled at first. Maybe the sled owners should mount some train horns right at the front of the sled. That would probably stop the idiots who hold the horn on right up to the cones too.

Congratulation to the KOH winner. You have to be tough to get in there anyway. A win is a win.

I wasn't there for KOH but I do know if they pulled the blue sled the horn on it is not very loud as compared to the others. I know Saturday I was watching a couple of guys pull on it who had someone walking beside the sled listening for them.

From what I did see of a few DQ's the sled operator told the announcers when someone blew the horn. As I said that is just what I saw Friday.

I personally enjoyed the pull alot! I was in the bottom 10 or so in everything I pulled but what the heck, I was there!!!! Mean green, ya'll put on a great pull in my opinion and are a bunch of great folks as well. I Am already planning on being there next year and my goal is to at least hit the top 20 LOL!!!

Wow, a John Deere won a pull that is put on by the Mean Greene Pulling Team. I'm not taking anything away from his tractor because it does look good and runs good. The thing that irritates me is in the 6500 class on Thursday my Dad pulled his M about 5" further than the previous puller who got a full pull, the flagman flagged him even though he was still moving forward, then they announced a distance instead of a full pull. The flagman, not the sled operator, thought that he had it so he stopped him. Got screwed out of a pulloff. Saturday, Razzle Dazzle pulled in the 7200 wide open class He won the class by 5 or 6 feet. They gave a distance on him. When they read the placings they announced him as disqualified because of speed. The horn never went off. The announcers said that the sled operator told them the horn went off. Sled operator said it didn't. What it boils down to is this. I heard that one of the members of the Mean Greene Pulling Team owned a tractor that got beat so lets dq the winner to move him up. Yes Razzle was running alot of R.P.M.s but so was everyone else in the class. If you want to dq one because of it lets check all of them. Odd things has happened in the past to me, my father, my uncle but I really think if this is the way you want to operate a pull that we probably won't be back. One person should not be able to dq a tractor going against the opinons of every one else in the club. Wayne, thank you for your efforts, and again congrats to the K.O.H. winner David Brooks

My point is this. If you are willing to D.Q. some one on R.P.M,s then you better to be willing to check everyone in the class. We had more than one driver in the class tell us what they were going to turn their tractor so we didn't reset it. The tractor that won the class was turning to many RPM's. Did he "cheat" to win or won it fair and square? IF we are going to enforce the rules, lets enforce the rules on everyone not just one person.

Yes, that 880 Oliver had a very good day. I'm thinking he won the 4200 also. He is a good friend and a good competiter, but if you ask him he would probably tell you he was above the 30 percent on rpm's. The rules say 30 percent on rpm's. It's O.K. to go 70 Percent if you don't win the class. It's O.K. to go 80 Percent if you don't win. But if you win, something has to be done.
