i am building a wd45 pulling engine. i am using the wd45 crank with the 4 1/8 bore. it has a set of dished pistons in it now. i also have a set of m&w ap48 pistons. which set of pistons will give me the most compression and horsepower.

look at a flat top small block 400 chevy if the compression height is taller thats where the pin goes then it will come up higher in the block really given you alot of compression. i run mine at .400 in the hole for 13.5 compression ratio.

WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH would you wnt 13.5-1 comp. in a 2000rpm tractor motor?I have built and spent enough hours on a dyno with AC motors to assure you 11.5 is the upper limit. from ther on up you will give up HUGE amounts of power and torque.Small cid near stock will do great at 9.5 and down.Don't go by cranking pressure, figure true comp ratio.

Don't most people just run a D-17 engine?

The M&W's should have a heart shaped dish as opposed to the round dish on standard 45 pistons. Therefor the M&W's should give the highest compression. If this is a dedicated pulling tractor, you can use the WC/WD flat top type pistons & really raise the compression.

i also have a set of the wd M&W AP46 pistons. which out of the three would give most compression. want to get to 200 psi if possible.
