Hi my name is kyle im 18 years old and im trying to get more competetive with my 1256 this next season. i have all the power and i am learning how to read tracks and weight the tractor but everyone tells me my tires are killin me and ai need to cut them some how. how can i cut them with out spending a bunch of money?

Spinning them backwards on rough concrete works great, just don"t get the tire to hot, move to different places on the concrete, we have even ran a garden hose in front of the tire to cool them while spinning, you can adjust your tire pressure to take rubber off different places on the bar, good luck

I am in north western ohio and those machines are pretty pricy for me and i can only cut the top side. i am interested in that hand held wood planner. now is that electric or do u mean the old push style?

i have a tire cutting machine here in western ky. to cut a set of tires is not all that cheap.and it not that easy. if there cut the way you want. and are done in a reasonable amount of time. i am sure some one has told you about what it cost to have them cut. if you instered drop me a e-mail i well send my number and give you a price not sure where your located so maybe to far for you.

I'm assuming that you will want a sharp edge on front of tire bar... you can spin them backwards on concrete, some use a special tire cutting wheel on a side grinder (I've haven't been able to find one of these myself) of my personal favorite is to use a hand held wood planner.

Miller Tire at Wauseon has a machine, friend had his top groomed for about $200.00 a tire. Also a guy Montpelier, IN I can give info on if you want. Electric hand planer is lot cleaner than grinding, but awful hard on planers. Take your time and it will last.
