Can anyone tell me any disadvantages of a single wheel narrow front over a regular 2 wheel narrow front? Also how do they compare for weight to each other for pulling?

The 77 front hubs will fit an 88, and an 88, 195GK, 310, 320, 1100 massey, 265, 283, 1650, 1800, 1850, and 1750 engines will ALL bolt into a 77 tub. As for the frontends, the 66's are about 25lbs lighter than a 77 frontend. A 22 massey frontend is alot lighter than a 66 but takes a little work to get it under there.

the 66 narrow front with pressed steel wheels is the lightest factory front & will bolt right in. can get lighter by building hubs and using 12" rims.

A 66 frontend will be the lightest direct bolt up frontend. You can get lighter if you want to get creative.

There is 2 oliver 77's in our club,, that both have 88 engines in em. Looked like the block bolted right in the tub,,, but had to alter the driveshaft length to sit in the frame.
