I am mind boggled with all the stuff you can do witha H. I want to build something just past the stock range but not a money buster. I have 3 3/8 pistons. Should I bore the block and is so what to put back in what type of sleve etc. Or just pull the sleves and install 3 7/16 eninge kit like in the engine kits on this forum. I want to use the crank do i need to regrind it? Where can i get dome pistons to get more compression? I"ll take any other advice or suggestions! I have read through the post but am trying to explain what my situation is

Your looking at boring the H block, to the 350 sleeve barrel size, have the 350 sleeve flange cut to the H sleeve spec, and the 350 sleeves work in the H block. makes 175ci, firecraters are prety much to option for most rebuild kits, and yes, there is a little bit more you can do to get more out of the engine by playing with the wrist pin location on the rod, and fitting the piston in the head more to make more compression, low end torque, then add some newer parts like a cam, intake can carb if allowed, maybe a cyl head if its an older gas head, or worse, a kerosine head. Will the connecting rods work on the 350 work on the H crankshaft. What 350 part number that is listed on the engine kits on the forum would you recomend

Yes, use H rod bearings. The piston kits are prety much a firecrater piston set, so not much option other than that, unless you get lucky and find a high dome set, probably wont find new,,, Chad
