As many may already know, Fitzgeralds is "sold out". Treasure Town Inn (1-800-201-3040) still has some singles with queen size beds and some "smoking" doubles. We have no other sources at the $49.95 rate. Looks like we're gonna have a crowd this year.
Don't forget the early registration on the website...Wayne

Sure glad I got mine already. It's been a long time since I had a smokin' double. At least it seems like it's been a long time. Have a good one.

Jeff,
I tried to inform with caution, knowing the carnality that exists in the ranks of tractor pullers (your comments proving up my expections, LOL). Initially it was going to be "single queens" and "smokin doubles" but a watered down version seemed more appropriate.

Just to hear the comments and see if anyone would notice, I've always wanted to change the wording on the bottom of the Tunica flyer from "No Smoking and No Dogs in the Arena to "No Smoking Dogs in the Arena".

Come on over to Black Rock if you can. The Mississippi Mafia will be there in force..Otherwise we'll see you at Tunica...Spotter

I just couldn't resist that comment on the "smokin' double." Never had one, (or two in this case I guess), and probably wouldn't even know what to do!!!!! I was raised pretty conservatively, though you can tell I did my share of straying in my younger days. Not proud of it; just a truthful confession. Maybe you could add a "slash" and have "NO SMOKING/DOGS IN THE ARENA." That would have a neat affect on the reading of it. Someone would probably even leave you a aketch posted somewhere.

I read through the Black Rock post below and I've been mulling it over in my mind about coming up there. Looks like there may be a pretty good crowd there. Is that going to be down in that holler by the railroad where it was the first year? That's the only time I've ever been to a pull up there. It was a good event then. That's been about 4 years ago I think. $10 hook fee or what? I'm running pretty tight right now and trying to save up for the Tunica pull.

I sort of have plans for that weekend, but you've sparked my interest a little more. Fuel's cheaper. There's another reason to go! If I don't see you there, I'll see you at Tunica. Happy pulling.

My problem is that most of my confessions only remind me of how much fun it was...Anybody that says there ain't no fun in sin just ain't done it as good as I have..LOL.

Yep, BlackRock is still as you described. Hope you can make it....Spotter

Yeah. The only thing is, that fun don't last. I have to remember that AND the price paid for all that fun too. At least tractor pullin' is fun that ain't sinnin'. (Although some folks probably wouldn't agree with that.) That's not saying you can't be sinnin' WHILE you're tractor pullin'. (There's probably a good crowd that would disagree with that too.) Y'all be careful traveling over. See ya later.
