Dekalb Super Pull

It looks like the 2007 Super Pull will be March 2nd and 3rd in Eaton, Ohio. I know that someone had said that the NATPA pull in Talmadge is scheduled for that weekend also??? Last year the NATPA pull was the following weekend.

We are still open to suggestions on what we can do to get more tractors there. Rules need to get changed so we can get all the advertising done.

Is the track going to be better than it was last year. I didn"t like the track last year because you could have had a mud bog instead of a tractor pull because it was so wet and soft. I just hope it will be bett than last years track

Since you in that part of the state, why not look at USAP rules? That would possibly draw people that may not pull NATPA like the Kentucky bunch and the Indiana gang. Just a thought.

I always liked the DeKalb pull years ago at Columbus when the antiquers where welcome, but I will be in Tallamdge that weekend.

Jim, could you please tell me what exactly it is that makes you feel that the antiques are not welcome anymore? We have not changed a thing with how we handle the antique classes since we starte doing the Super Pull. Please give me some specific examples and I"m sure that I can explain them...

I can speak along the same lines as Jim F. I to used to attend this pull and quit going when the rpms got out of hand and only some of the tractors were checked and some of the tractors were not in the right classes. Just becuase you are in the same club in that area doesn't mean that can help your buddy cheat. This one of the reasons that people ae not returning. Then it now has become a V-8 pull!

There are 2 sessions that are not "V8" pulls. But you will see alot of the evening pullers out working the track, hooking and unhooking tractor, etc., during the day. There will only be a couple of antique pullers out there helping during the night show.

I can assure you that there will be someone in the pits checking RPMs on every tractor, I know that is something that has not been getting done, but we will check them this year. As far as tractors pulling in the proper division... What is stopping someone with a strong division 4 tractor from dropping his R"s and running div 3??? Joe does not pull antiques. Why would you let his attitude deter you from what you want to do. The only thing that should matter is that there is a place to pull on the first weekend in March in Eaton, Ohio, indoors, that is 50% payback.

I agree I should not let it deter me, Eaton is a very good place to pull. I will be at Eaton despite Mr.C,and I will have a good time, but its a shame many people wont show up for the reason I expressed earlier. I hope one pull doesnt draw from the other, so both can succeed. Good luck.
