I am currently pulling a farmall 400 with a 281 motor. My intake manifold is Y tube steel manifold . I have been told that this steel manifold is illegal in NATPA pulling, and what I need to comply with the rules is a cast manifold. Does anyone know some place that produces after market cast manifolds?

Hank Steele has them , you can search the archives on here to find his number. Real nice fellow to deal with.

After further inspection the one on ebay is not a Johnson. It is similar but it is connected and the Johnson is two pieces. But it would still be better than a regular manifold.

You need to get a JOHNSON MANIFOLD. They have the intake and exhaust separate from each other.Alot of the power units had them and they are legal.
