I went to a machine shop today to see about getting my 135 bored .030 but can't find a piston to fit.Anyone know where I can find pistons that are 3.280.bore???That would be a 3.25 bored .030 for a IH 135 motor or a 330 International, also a 340 International. Both had the 135 motor. The IH dealer doesn't carry oversized pistons and neither does some of the major after market parts houses. Also, will a 135 crank and rods fit in a 123 Farmall block and work right????

Be carefull with boring those sleeves, they're only about .100 thick at the O-ring seal (appr bottom 1-1/2" to 2"). They are about .030-.040" larger (at the lower sleeve OD) than the Super C sleeves so I suppose it could be done. With a quick look around I found a 230ci 6cyl Chrysler built from 1934-1960 showed a 3.250 bore (should be easier to get in a .030 oversize), 0.8593 pin diameter, but the compression height is 1.978 which I think would shut you down (you need to check yours but I would guess ~1.750). They would also be flat tops meaning the compression loss might be more than you gained compared to a high altitude firecrater set?

On the crankshaft in a C123, I would say not w/o custom machining. Please note there are two flavors of the C135 innards: early being the 330/340, late being the 404. They have different rear main seal designs, different main bearing widths (at least on the late C135 as it's a beefier crank) and larger journal sizes on mains and rods. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I think early C135 being larger than the C123, and late C135 being larger than the early C135. Rods will have the correlating diffs along with the smaller pin diameter (I think 0.86 vs 0.92 ?). I think the pilot hole in the crank may depend on it's application. I saw a late C135 crank from an industrial motor that was already drilled for the pilot. I still have a NOS std altitude firecrater sleeve and piston set for the C135 if you need something checked.
Hope that helps,
Stan(VA).

the crank will work but the pilot hole for the trans shaft. Must be machined out. not sure about the rods.
