Hey why don't you define Stock us. As far as i care you can have 150 hp or 60 hp you make them run 3mph. It doesn't matter then how big you motor is or what it sound like. As long as it is stock block, stock rearend, and sheet metal. They are stock.

Do us Stock tractor pullers not have the right to brag? At least our tractors sound like tractors and not race cars. I call the other kind of pulling "Smoke and Noise".

I don't know why they don't break up those classes, But if they did that we would only get to pull with one or two in a class wounder if they were still pulling in the dark

Yes, they are cheating if they pull the race cars in the stock classes. In our local pulls we have the stock classes, the hobby stock classes and the open classes (race cars) and most everybody is happy. We DQ the cheaters or make them pull in the other classes.

i can see what you mean, in this particular pull they combined the classes, so stock guys get p.o. even though they come every year, and act like its a new rule every year?

Went to a pull last year where all the classes were combined by a rule change the day of the pull, but this year it was divided classes again. In a pull I help with, 3MPH is the equalizer. It's all in who has the most traction.
