Just wanted to know how everyone like the pull in Remus last Saturday. We had a lot of new faces and we were wondering if anyone had any comments, complaints or suggestions? Thanks BH

Very good except: The pit toilet was bad. You fellows might look into porta johns. Not a big issue but you asked.

How many were there for the 8000 & 9000 lb. farm classes? By that I mean 4010, 4020, 806, not the antique's that stepped up to the class. I had 2 knee surgeries that have kept me from making it to all but one pull. Hopefully health issues will allow me to pull with you guys next summer, that is if you don't drop the classes.

No, really, I thought the only uphill track was in Westphalia. Just kidding. I liked the grounds, and the announcer booth was great. Every club needs a lookout tower like that! Good looking track too. It has bite, but isnt very forgiving if you miss the line. I have never been one to care much for rules but that JD that turned ATLEAST 1800 - 2000 plus RPM's needed to be checked. But it SURE did run! I didnt pull there, but my over all impression is that I will certainly attend next year when I get my tractor back together.

If you check one, you must check them all! My opinion is that this pull is a "run what ya brung" pull and everyone knows this,so if you pull here, don't whine. There were plenty of other area pulls that same weekend ,that favored the closer to stock tractors. We shouldn't forget, there's plenty of "stock" pullers out there that we will never see pullin' if things keep going the way they are! Classes and enforced rules is what will bring everybody out to the track. When that happens, the sport will grow and not until then. Auto racing used to be fun for "some". Now it is fun for "all". We need to take some lessons. Just my opinion,no replies required.

You just said "My opinion is that this is a run what ya brung pull" and went on to say that "Enforced classes and rules will bring everybody to the track" How on earth do these statements not contradict each other?

Thats fine, I like run what ya brung classes. I think there needs to be more of them. Farm, off the spreader, STOCK pulling puts me to sleep. I am just glad that I found out that you can turn up the motor before I came back with a tractor. Not everyone knew this. I liked the grounds and the track. Looks like you guys got a good thing up there, and I'll be back. Was that your JD? AC

You may have mis-read my post. I didn't mean this particular pull would have rules and enforcement! what I said was that future pulls everywhere need to adress this type of "stock" class if we are ever going to draw out of the woodwork, all the TRUE stock tractors AND their drivers AND their money (for those promoters that can always use a little more of that to cover expences and make improvements). Guess going to sleep is your problem. No one said YOU had to pull with them OR watch them, but unless something changes,THEY are being deprived of a fair class to pull in. All I hear is promoters *&ssing and moaning about low attendance and having to run more 50/50 raffles to survive AND make improvements. Apparently their money isn't green enough, or no one wants to bother with rules enforcement. Or BOTH. NHRA does it, and they are the fastest growing santioning body around. Oh'by the way,no, that wasn't my John Deere. Mine is STOCK. Sorry if I put you to sleep.
