Does anyone know how I can get ahold of Dennis Calhoun? He sent me the rules for the V-8 pulling tractors and I have misplaced them, or does anyone have a set they can send me.

He was with a group of guys up in North Central Mo that pulled Classic Modified.

Thanks

Dennis pulls some with MATPA. There's an email address for Dennis on our directory page.

D7 rules are there too.

Why did they limit the block size to 360 cubes? Still ALOT of ways to make big (but expensive) HP anyway if that is what they were concerned about.

360 ci was used because that seemed to be a common limit. I work in a performace engine shop, and have seen some of the ways you talk about to make lots and lots of power w/ that limit. You can build a pretty bada$$ SBC if you spend $10-15K+. You can limit the engine size, but you cant limit the size of the checks the pullers write when they build them.

More cubes isnt going to limit the $, but the increased power can become a safety issue with wild rides and breakage due to engines putting 10-15x more HP thru the drivetrain than what it was built for.
