Has anyone ever given though of starting our own pulling club. I think it could open the door to many posibilies. Such as having paid memeberships, which in return would provide money to have our own sled. As everyone knows, there is growing concern about what sled we have to pull. If we could form our own organization, we could have our own sled. Plus there are many other great oppotunities to having a club. Like points systems, better paybacks, and the pride that comes with being part of an organization! I am apart of several other clubs, but none of them could make me feel more proud than the one I could belong to here at home. There are many good and bad reasons I can think of to having a club, but all things start with an idea. Write me and tell me your opinions. Thanks - Rude Pulling

P.S.I enjoy talking to everyone here on this website. I usually work late, but check every evening about eleven. So if your up that late, chat at you then. Shout out to jdpullingchick, 2 minnie, oskpuller. Sorry if I missed anyone else. Good night

First of all, thanks for all the input from all you. It takes the thoughts of everyone to make important dicisions like this. But some things come to mind with 2 minnies statement. It usually comes down to a few guys who have to attend every pull and bust balls to make it work. First ones there and the last ones to leave. Then they, the once die hard pulling guys, lose interest then move on and we lose good people. If this is going to work, it will take the effort of MANY PEOPLE. A board and members have to be elected and so on. Who has the knoledge and the time to organize such a thing. I dont! Maybe there is something in between. Maybe a club and no sled. Or just leave well enough alone. Like i said in the beginning, just a though. Thanks

Input is what is needed. A group will get more done easier, for example full pulls and then half track. If the sled operator knows he has to pull the next week or day with these guy's they should have a say. We are all trying to put on a show, just some of us are not getting paid to do it.

I would agree. If we had more pullers like you 2 minnie, we could draw and crowd and maybe get paid to play some day! People like custom. I do! There not going to pay ten dollars to see a bunch of junky looking tractors. Slick looking, hauling balls tractors like my daddy used to farm with, is what they like. And like you said, we all like to put on a show. My deer may not run down the track at twenty miles per hour, but at least if looks decent. Im lucky it makes it to the other end! But anyway, I need to go to bed. Good talking with you. Good night Clint

Just some things to think about from someone who has owned & ran a sled. Group or club owning a sled= what we have now! It is not much fun being the first to arrive and leave by your self/selves. Most places supply NO help you do the whole show. 1 or 2 people need to be in charge of the sled, all the time, including upkeep. A club or group is a good idea, set up pulls, rules, classes be a promoter, my personal opinion, hire a sled. Leroy

Hey Clint, Sounds like a really good idea! That would eliminate confusion between different pulls, and we are definately in need of our own sled, so good thinkin!

Heyyy Clint, Sounds like a good idea, it would eliminate the fear of not having a sled for certain pulls. I really think it wouild be worth a try! Let us know of any details...or ways we could help get it started.
