Has anyone here heard of or seen a replacement type injector that uses a pencil type injector instead of the factory deal for these engines. something along the lines of makin a new injector body then installing a 400 series injector in it. Heard of this being done but have never actually seen it.

I HAVE SEEN WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. THEY TAKE THE GUTS OUT OF THE 282 INJECTORS AND MACHINE THE INSIDE TO ACCEPT A 400 SERIES INJECTOR LETTING THE TIP STICK OUT OF THE BODY AND SPRAY FUEL INSIDE THE PRE CUP. THIS IS A GOOD THING IF YOU ARE PUTTING A TURBO ON SO YOU CAN RAISE THE INJECTOR OPENING PRESSURES UP.

contact your local diesel man and he can order the parts for you. They are expensive like $100 to $200 apiece. But I don't think they will give you$600 more power.
