I have heard that you can mix some kerosene into diesel fuel and use it in a diesel engine for some extra power (more fire= more power.) Is there any truth to this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

We'd often put some kerosene in with the diesel during the winter to keep the fuel from gelling in the dump trucks. I never noticed a difference in their performance.

Not scientific by any means, but back in the 60s when we testing fuels for pulling HP,(our own Dino.)A light #2 would help a Direct Inj.engine(JD&AC)and hurt a INDIRECT engine (Case-Older JD-Oliver)where a HEAVY #2 was just the opposite results, hurt the direct helped the Fuel Cell engines.Kero.has less Power Properties.Example I had to buy a 50-50 blend Diesel in Fargo ND and lost a gear(overdrive vs Direct)going west onI94.Went back to regular #2 and picked the gear back up.

I was always told the thinner the fuel the less power you get , so I would find a way to thicken it up , maybe add a propane bottle and that will give it a boost .
