Recently bought a Massey 101 Super going to pull in 3500# which has 13.6.38 no cut,3 mph. Also would like to pull in 4500# but the rules are 15.5.38 tire size. Can i be competitive with this basic stock tractor.

It depends on your rpm rules, course with 3 mile an hour, you will not be able to rev it up too high.

3500# will not be a problem with a stock motor. 4500# will be a different story. If you can, swap up to the larger block 265 Chrysler. That is the cheapest horse power you can get.

If you do work on your motor, give serious thought to getting the cam reground. Call Todd Cauthon with TNT machine for a stock (near stock) grind for the cam.

Pete.
