Will a smaller venturi make d17 engine lug better.I have a bigger one in my zenith than stock.I 50 HP wc on tight dyno.It just dont lug on a good POWER track!!! Help please thanks

put a vacum gage onit that will tell you if you are to big or to small

If you increase the venturi size you need to put in a bigger main jet since for the same full throttle rpm, the delta P across the main jet is less so you get a lower fuel/air ratio i.e yu'll run lean.

I put a bigger jet at same time as venturi.Every thing looks good at exaust pipe.Under load on the track and off.I am going to try Vac gauge.I have been try to make it work on the track.

go back to a stock size and see if it costs you to much on the top end , then see if you can lug the sled further, you pull a sled not a dyno.
