Don't waste the time or money. You can gat more out of a 77 for less,I know ,I built a 70.There is just not enough room in those little continental engines.BUT if you must do it you can fit 3 9/16 in them but it is tight.

How long is the stroke on your 70 with 62 HP? I have a 3.445 bore x 5.5 motor I am hoping to have done soon.

5.375 x 3.5625 But I am telling you if you have not done it yet the 77 is the way to go.I have spent far less and wound up 100 ci bigger and that was becuase I decided to stop not because I had to as with the 70 motor ,there is just not enough room either in the block or the head.Good luck whatever you do.
