Help!

I'm married to a tractor puller. There are birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases.

I want to get him things he'll like, but I don't know anything about tractors. What makes you people happy?

Tractor Supply Company gift certificates? eBay gift certificates? Empty plastic containers with lids? Subscriptions to The Hook?

Any and all suggestions and input would be much appreciated!

Actually, this question is part of a labor of love I've recently started working on, which is a website about how to do nice things for people with particular interests.

I've been married to my tractor puller for over 14 years, and I do a pretty good job with him, but I didn't know if he was typical. It appears that he is. :)

You guys have given me some really good stuff for the page on Tractor Pulling. Since sponsoring my tractor puller is what started this whole thing, I'm delighted to have such great suggestions.

If you want to see how it's turning out, I'd love to know if you think I missed anything. :)
BTW, the picture near the top right is my husband on his Massey Harris 44D.

A subscription to The Hook is a good idea. Go a little farther and listen to what he says he wishes he had for his tractor to give it a little better edge. If it's not clear, just come out and ask him what one thing would make his tractor a more consistent winner. More than likely he'll name more than one thing and give you plenty of ideas. Most of all, don't be surprised by his reaction to the simple fact that you're even interested his tractor pulling. You know how we men are!!!!!

You can't win if you are a T P Wife. You see the nature of a puller is that he wants to EARN ,preferably with his tractor, anything he gets.A puller doesn't want gifts, that's why he hates to win a pull because his final competitor can't make the pull or breaks! It's a gift. Here's what he WOULD like.Put together some nice video with commentation by yourself of all the pulls he went to in the year. Include some of his freinds, some lighter moments between the pulling, some jokes about his driving style etc...etc. It will take a time commitment but it will be priceless to him and his kids and grand kids and great grand kids etc. Also large framed photos of his tractor in action. It's all about competition, braggin' rights and comradary. OR,you could just get him a tire! NNNOOOOO TTTTT T!!!

Oh come on B-maniac, you wouldn't want to wake up christmas morning and find a powerblock or heisler head under the tree? A big crank, custom rods or pistons? Say it aint so...

Good for you TractorPullersWife.... I don't suppose by any chance you'd have a sister.... Nah, never mind...

Money for hook fees. I have been married for 18 years and we found it is easier to just ask what each other wants. I like it when my wife will just come out and sit and talk while i am tinkering on my tractor or something.

Subscription to Hook magazine is not a bad place to start though. :)
