'Hear the Topper is getting down to the nitty gritty on your new machine... You know what the sad part is? If he hadn't stopped to help me on a little job a few weeks ago you'd probably be ready for Denton... Maybe next year.

Speaking of Denton, was wondering if maybe I could hitch a ride up there tues if you happen to be going? 'Promise to behave myself (NO smoking, spitting or cussing...) and swear my loyalty to the deere camp as long as I'm in your vehicle. Will have my own means of return transportation I hope. Talk to you soon... Flogger

Flogger, I would be honored to be graced with your presence. Who knows, the Chick might show up.
Looking for a starter that will spin that old green thing, any suggestions from a professional?

'Appreciate that 'rooster and I'll try to get my good overalls cleaned and pressed this weekend in case the 'chick should decide to show up.

There probably is a better starter available for your JD A. I know the 'Topper has kicked the question around on here a little bit. About all I can recomend is a strong tow hook, a stout chain and my old rusty farmall hitched to it. Ask Drew or GMAN sometime and see if they know of anything.
