I've been able to find a lot of tractors around my town, but they are all too small. At least I think they're too small. I'd like to compete in tractor pulls, but I don't have a huge truck to lug a Farmall M around. I don't have a good knowledge of pulling classes, but I guess the lightest is 2500#'s? What can I look for that would be competitive in that class? I saw a Massey-Harris Pony for sale, but that thing wouldn't last a minute. Maybe a Farmall C?

I jsut don't want to show up to a pull with a dinky garden tractor and be competing against a bunch of pro's with monster tractors. Need to save some respect for myself.

i have a stock 35 wc and a 45 wc that is bored and stroked and they both do well from 3500 to 4500. every time i pull them i place in the top 3.

I was at a show this weekend and we pulled 2 super A"a, a BN and a regular B and a C and had a BLAST! We all weighed about 3100lbs.
We also Dynoed them and the 2 B"s and the C made 20 HP and the 2 Super A"a made 24hp.

My son pulls a Farmall A and does really good in the 2500# and 3500# classes. The 3500# class requres him to add weight.

Just A few tractors that make good pullers and fit the 2500 lb class are: Ford 8N/9N, Allis B,C,and CA(narrow front on CA) Farmall A and B. Oliver 60. Case VAC. and Massey Harris 22. I'm sure there are others, but this will give you an idea as to what to look for.

The WC's are really strong in the light classes.. Find some W45-d17 parts..
