Does the light weight rims from MillerTire just weigh 15 lbs lighter as it says in ad. Seems to me like they look like they should be lighter. Whats everones opion on running oil in your rear end, none, some or where it should be. The old girl needs to loose a 100.

I,m pulling it in the 5000 class and can get it in ok but have no moveable weight. and I,m to lite in front end. I,ve got her pretty well stripped down. Was running aluminum rims but they were't mine and I had to give them back[can you imagine that].

I imagine the figure of 15 lbs. less is accurate. But to me, advertising these rims as "light weight" is a misnomer. They are 1/4" rims which are extremely heavy to begin with (and also have reinforced centers which adds more yet). The rims will weigh less than a "non-cut" 1/4" rim but an older, thinner rim will weigh much less to start with even without cutting on them than any 1/4" rim will. Mike

cut some holes in your tin centers, you dont say if your tractor has pto or not, or a pulley, I would have to think you have that gone by now, as that would be any easy amount of weight to loose, put in a smaller battery or at least a quad battery then use a jumper pack to start it, sure saves weight.
