Trying to get 1940 H Farmall into 3500 lb class with 200 pound dirver. Am at 4000 now and want to remove belt pelley drive, pto and shield and belly pump and drawbar assembly and make a small custom hitch. Can I make it with these items or will I have to go to pressed wheels on front and back. Just wondering if someone knows what these items weigh? Thanks Migraine

We run a Super H here that is just as you describe doing only it has pressed steel rears with 15.5 - 38 rubber. The rear seat is fabbed with square tube pipe. The tractor scales at 3720 with no weights and me in the seat (I weigh 175lbs.) I think it could be down to 3500 easily with pressed steel fronts, weld on hubs and cutting down the axles.

Good luck with it.

Get some f12 cutoffs and you are in. I have W-4 axle housings for sale if you want any. You save about 30 lbs.

Thanks for the help and ideas. I will go to work and see where we can go down to. I have a single front with pressed wheel which should help out also. What 9 bolt hubs will work on an H from other brands? Thanks Migraine
