I'm currently running 16.9 x 24 tires on a case C. I bought it that way, and it pulls pretty decent. Later this summer I will have a problem pulling a few places though, so I need to work on a different set-up eventually. Some rules read that you can go 13.6 x 38 or one size wider if you go shorter - So I'm looking for a tire that is 14.9 x ???? Is there such thing as a 14.9 x 34, or anything else between 24" & 34"? What were they on from factory - would like to know which junkyards to check out.

Thanks!

Add to that list 34", 38" and 42".. Here are the sizes available from Firestone. the number to the right is the "Flat Plate Area" in square inches that is sometimes used to define the allowable tire size in the rules.Generally speaking, larger diameter tires pull better, but there are exceptions... There are 26", 28", 30" and 32" tires currently being used on tractors. A 14.9 and a 16.9 tire are of pretty much the same height. I don't know what configuration of a wheel you have, so it is difficult to offer suggestions. Often wheels will interchange from one tractor to another. There are open center rims, 8 bolt hole tin rims,9 bolt hole tin rims, 10 bolt hole tin rims and even 6 bolt hole rims. I hope this adds to the confusion, but seriously I might be able to steer you in a direction, but I am not familiar with a Case C.
