Start With a Stiffer Gov Spring! Your Compression is Stock with Flait top Pistons! A 3 1/4 oversize Kit will Greatly Help your Power out with an Extra 5 HP if Set it up properly! Valves are set at .014 HOT and Point Gap Is .020, I would try to get it in 3000lb Class if you can, Then move into 3500lb Class.

Well Kidd the way i see it is The Combine C-153 Will bolt in with some Work BUT you now have a Super C that some places won't let pull in stock type classes ans Shouldn't! The stiffer Gov spring will make it respond better and some time Setting it up on a Dyno after you made you Valve and points settings adjusting the Dist will yeald you some hidden HP!

The c113-c123-c135-c146-c153 are based on the same block (series). However the front of the engine (waterpump), and the pilot bushing are different. If you want to change the block have some metalworking tools handy.
