Does anyone out there have a breakdown of which parts work best for a hydraulic brake conversion on a Farmall 560. Any pictures of good mounting bracket would also be very helpful.

Getting the lining off of the disks is not that hard. Lock it in the vise on edge and start knocking away with a thin chisel or screw driver and hammer. You should be able to do one disk in about 10 minutes.

The stock disk brakes can probably be welded to what ever type of rotors will clear your deck plate then mounts are easy enough to hold the calipers. Cutting off the asbestos(?) from the original disk are a pain. Two of the original disk with the factor splines should be welded to either side of the new rotors for stability. This way no welding is done to the original brake pinions if thats what you want. I"ll check to see if I still have pictures. This will work for a 460 and I assume the 560 would be similar.

WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM LOOKING TO DO. IF YOU HAVE ANY GOOD PICTURES OF THE WAY YOU MOUNTED YOUR CALIPERS THIS WOULD GET ME GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I KIND OF KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO, BUT I WANT TO BE 100% SURE BEFORE I START TEARING INTO IT. THANK YOU FOR THE QUICK REPLIES MIKE

Willwood Superlite calipers have a bolt pattern just slightly less than bolt pattern on the brake cover housing on my 460. The calipers are aluminum and can easily be made to fit. A little more grinding on the back plate makes them fit nicely. Since the caliper is mounted fixed, the rotor has to "float" on the pinion shaft.
