I got a set of 13.6 tires that are road worn and look really good for pulling with about 80% tread on them. The only problem is that the one tire has a hole in the sidewall and the tube is showing. I was wondering if a farm patch would do the job or what i can do to fix it. I've read on here that people fixed the same problem before and pulled but i could'nt find the post on how poeple fixed them when i searched for it.
Thanks

Gemplers catalog (gemplers.com) has tire reliners to repair tractor tires. Liner is more than twice as thick as a tire boot. I have used them and they work.

I don't know where you are at, but I had one vulcanized near Kansas City and it cost $98.00

I repaired splits in a couple of 18.4 x 34 Armstrongs by lacing the hole closed with strong cord and gluing a boot inside. That was 4 years ago and they are still going strong.

I have seen a heavy duty boot put in with carriage bolts coming from the inside before to hold it together. That might be an idea.

if its just a hole and the side wall is still sound just get a large heavy duty boot installed that would be fine i would put the repair to the out side if there was a problem it would not blow at the driver just my $.02

Should not be very expensive, and you should end up with a repair that you can't even see...

You will have to remove the tire to get it vulcanized..

Ron..
