Has anybody had any luck pulling with a W-4? Just wondering if this tractor would be competitive. Thanks for the input.
Charles

been pullin a 300 utility for the last year it does very well,I switched to 38 inch rears that speed the tractor up a lot,it will run 11-12 mph in 3rd gear.Thats what I pull in most of the time.If you go with bigger tires you better have a lot more horsepower,a H motor stock won't do it.Mine is on photo ads for sale do a search in Virginia to see it.

I have Seen an I4 same thing just the industrial model. It is very short with small tires prolly gonna take you a while to get it weighed right. He has been pulling it for 10 years or so but he knows how to weight it down for different track conditions. I pulled a W6 for about a year, out of 30 hooks I won 2 trophys a first and a third. You are prolly going to be allright on power if you pull first gear your W4 is the same thing as an H Farmall with little diameter tires. If you are gonna pull 2 or higher you might wanna find a 350 farmall engine and go from there. It will set right where the H motor Came out with no proublems. A "bolt in job"
