i would like info on converting my 42 wc to key start instead of the push lever

or is this something best left alone

also i am seeking 38" wheels with 6 hole centers for my puller

I would leave the starter alone .. the 38inch tires is going to be your problem. I have a WC myself and I have been looking for tires for a long time. your best bet is to find a set of 9 bolt wheels and have a machine shop make you a set if adapter plates. I saw a few WC's at Tunica last year with adapter plates looked like it works well.

thanks for the info i saw a wc at a pull last year and he had key start on it

he said it was a 46 but i don't know how he did it

i know what you mean about the wheels

Charley- Take your starter to a rebuilder and have him remove the copper pad that is under the switch and replace it with a stud. Then, put a solenoid on it with a key switch with a start position and wire it up accordingly. If you don't understand this, email me back and I'll draw you up a sketch. Good luck. Chum
