How do i make a good JD B Puller

Are there any tricks and tips out there for a B.
What are the main points to do make a good B puller. What would you sugest buying to make a good tractor.

why would you want 14.9's on a B, I guess it's possible to spin out if it's a staight 6 trans. I think the run about .02 mph. We have A's here on the farm that have 13.6s and 14.9s, I bet that B looks terrible with them tires but thats my opinon

I pull a '39 B. The best thing that I have done (inexpensively) was get a gas manifold from Detwilers and have they port and polish it. Also make it as light as possible so you can put the weight where you need it. I pull my B in the 3000 Lb class. It took a little work to get it down that far, but it pulls competitively.

i have a 41 JD B a farmer gave me and the only thing changed was the rear hubs are not factory and i can spin mine out in 4200 most everytime only time it wont is on a really tight wet red clay track, even on a track like that it reall paws and nearly slips

I have a friend that pulls a John Deere B Havent done a thing to it but change the oil, set the valves, clean the carb, and set the timing and he spins out in the 4200 with 14.9 tires.

I know that it is the truth .. I helped him pull it out of a barn in north east Georgia, and it sets in my shop so everything that is done to it .. I do.. I know that it is THE TRUTH!
