Have any of you guys tried the programmers for these trucks ? If so did they give you better fuel economy ? What ones seem to work the best ? I am not really looking to get alot more power just to raise the mileage by 2 to 3 Mpg. Thanks

My choice would be the edge with Attitude it really works well. Also I know someone that really knows his way around the Duramax. Here is a link to his site.

I installed the Edge w/additude. w/4" exhaust.
SWEET!!! It takes a truck that runs good and makes it run great. I get 13.5 MPG pulling a 24' enclosed trailer. The trailer normally pulls like a parachute! The mileage overall increased 2-4 mpg
right away. Towing or not.

I have a 2003 Duramax and installed the Edge with Attitude monitor. I haul my gooseneck (15,000 pounds with tractor) and went from 11 mpg to 15 mpg. I also have 4 inch exhaust on it... keeps it cooler. I always run the chip at stage 2, 60 horse more when towing. Really seemed to help.
One the freeway empty it averages 21 miles to the gallon vs. the 18 when I bought it.

They just did that on a TV show I seen over the weekend. From what I seen, I was impressed with what they did to it just by hooking up to a computer! I was thinking it was called bullydog or something like that,,,, They said they had a few different programs, dont know what it is,, but if that name is right, should not be too hard to track down. There is alot of technology out there in computers and reprogramming them. All at the touch of a button. What happened to turning wrenches huh? LOL! Ive been messing with mustang computers, those are neat! Anyways,, hope this helps, Chad
