hold on

you can buy a (G) crank, off-set grind with (u) rods, and I don't know off the top of my head what piston's they use. You've got the rite blocks, For about a $1200.oo U.S. CURRENCY, THAT WOULD BE A HUGE IMPROVEMENT ! THAT TAKE YOU TO 403CI

With an offset ground G crank and 4.81 bore you could get 445 cubes or so. Good for say 125 h.p. The other option is buying a 403 power unit and installing.

sorry about the piston size, should have bean 4 3/4". we have a few g crack pullers around here, some say their pushing 140 hp.all said and done it"ll cost about $2800 to stock a g crank and bore, plus parts,i"m told. i"m going to insall bigger valves and open up the heads some. i can"t deside if i sould recam or not.i"m told a cam will have about a 700 rpm sweat spot.if i get a cam that pulls at1700-2400 rpm will i be hurting my low end hp.will that cam be big enough for the 3000rpm classes.i have turned 2800rpm but with the stock cam i don"t know how much good it does.

Talk to Scotty at Berry Cam (no relation). He is doing one for our UB right now. He needs to know just a few things and seems to have a BIG handle on stuff. Said that tractors are now 75% of their business.

I think you are missing the boat here...he said he can run (on occasion) 3 Grand..it'd be ALOT more HP than 125 @ 3K...
