I read the article in the Jan 2006 issue of Hook Magazine and did not like it.

In the index page at the front of the issue it states Osage Power Sports Asociation make 15 October their own date. Well that is wrong because the Osage Pullers Association already had that day booked as a constant show day every year and was planned before the closing of the club and the new group had to come to the former group president to be able to get thtat date and use it. Another wrong deal it was not led by Robbie Noble for the second year. It was Mark Harvey who brought tractor pulling back to Osage City, Ks. and the show in 2005 was nothing compared to the show in 2004. The crouds were smaller and the pullers were fewer and according to people that went to the show I talked to there was constant problems between pullers and the officials.
I have heard there were numerous other problems.
I have also spoke with Mr. Harvey and he has said that he is gonna try to put on another pull for the fans and free to the public. How soon or what the date will be I do not know. But be watching your pulls for Mr. Harvey and he can tell you more about it and what is going on.

Having pulled at both the "04 and "05 events, I must say that Osage City Kansas has the best dirt in the midwest. I will admit, the "04 day was run more smoothly. My only comment is that instead of pointing fingers at anybody, Osage needs to realize that they have one of the best sites to hold a tractor/truck pull in the area. Get together, figure out your differences, and remember that the key to having a successful event is to work together, have people in the key spots (running the scraper and packing tractors) that understand how to operate that equipment, and most importantly, don"t stop the pull for 45 minutes to give away prizes. Your dirt is the most consistent mixture I"ve ever pulled on, location is awesome, Mark did a great job of announcing in "04, the announcers in "05 we"re hard to hear and not near as enthusiatic. Don"t let your differences spoil a great opportunity to have a great pull in "06.

to whom ever wrote this I am a member of the new club in osage city and there are some things you are not aware of so if you are interested in the rest of the story here it is: first mr harvey did bring pulling back to osage but not without many helping hands behind the scene the first year went well but with all projects there are problems along the way and after all was said a done it was mr harvey that decided to end the osage pullers assoc so the other members of the osage pullers assoc pooled our resources to continue on with a good thing our second pull in 2005 was most definitely headed up by mr noble and might i add he did a good job for what he was tasked to do yes there were problems this year too but we are striving to improve on our mistakes and i was sure we had resolved the problems with the people involved so if we need to resolve some more issues feel free to contact us i hope this clears up the misinformation that is out there we have been in contact with mr harvey and resolved our issues and have passed some ideas between us as for the date being reserved just for the osage pullers assoc that is just not true it is a first come first serve arrangement with the city hope the will clear this up if you were at our 05 pull and thers were problems between the osage power sports assoc we are sorry they were not resolved that day thank you
