farmall pwr steering live hyd

I have an early 40's M Farmall and would like to know if its possible to get power steering and live hydraulics to add onto the M short of buying an M for parts that had these items added on previously.

Depends,, if you went with a live pump off a SM-450, you would have to change a few parts,, like the front timing cover, and the cam. The cam is important, it has left handed threads to hold the nut from comming undone. Thats a bolt on accesory kit,, but if you had the power steering unit, without a pump, you can mount some sort of pump to operate it, but wont be enough to handle live power for hydralics. Id go with the parts from a newer model,, will look correct, and wont have to modify it that much,, JMHO,, ChadS
