I have gone out(along with some friends)and found sponsors to help our pull but the majority of the money comes from hook fees. Our 500.00 KOH comes from sponsors mostly. There are lots of buisenesses that don't mind putting up a little money for some recognition.Hope this helps.

Alot of the Fairs and other big pulls get their prize money from the state for premiums, and sponsors contribute heavily also. The club pulls do get most of their prize money from entry fees. I either case if your lucky your winnings will cover your expenses for the day, consisting of food, gas, and entry fees.

Our pulls payback out of the entry fee, retaining enough to pay other expenses, as for $$ amounts I'm not quitting my day job!!!
