M Manifold / Header

Do any of you guys out there have the Denny's Carb Shop tubular manifold on an M. I know that Denny's is not a favorite on here, but I don't think that I want to spend $375 on a Hank's Steel manifold. Anything good or bad would be much appreciated. I am running 4100 RPM's wide open, a late model head with extensive work and the motor has a 4 1/8 bore. Also sits on a Lunatti cam and has been balanced and blueprinted. Let me know what you think, I would like to make some sort of manifold upgrade. Thanks.

i have a local muffler shop make me a header, i made flange to match cylinder head w/all ports, drilled and pined to align, bolted intake on top of 1/8" flange. had a 3-1/2" collector, don'e remember tube size but was just larger then stock port, which i port matched.
tubes weren't equal lenght, but made a big difference in power. ran 1/2" fuel supply to carb, with header would run out of fuel @ 100' had to run electric fuel pump.
used header frequently were rules allowed, my intake/exhaust manifold was from a 450 and i cut apart so exhaust wouldn't heat intake. only took 1/2 hr to switch, left governor tube bolts slightly loose to aid alignment. would reccomend to anyone who wants to have fun.

The problem with the header that I have found is
the mounting flanges don't line up with the ports in the head. On mine as much as 1/8" off. And the header is made of thinwall tubing, so grinding header to fit is out of the question. Plus if you need it bigger to fit your engine size you are out of luck. Go with the Steel manifold. Lots of material to port match to head. My M makes more power with the steel manifold. Plus I can run anywhere with the manifold set up.JMHO
