tires size in sq inches

What would 16.9X30 tires be in square inches. I looking to pull at different tracks and need to know if I can pull the tractor in the 4500# class. I think that the max is 179 sq. in. Any help would be appreciated.

The Firestone Traction Field and Road chart lists a 16.9X30 as being 216 sq in. Mike

Quite often clubs list tire sizes. If they are saying "square inches" they are usually refering to the "Flat Plate area" listed by Fireston. Go to the Firestone tire site and look up TRACTION FIELD & ROAD � R-1 sizes and dimensions. You will see that the 16.9x30 is 216 sq inches. CS2

Terry not much help here on that tire size, but this is what I have,
14.9 X 28=170
16.9 X 34=229
16.9 X 38=252
Best I can come up with, hope some one can give you what you need.

I think that the NATPA web site has a tire square inch chart... you might have to look under division 2 rules if I remember right
