Hi Jerry, is there a special licience or permit that you need in Mich to award cash instead of trophies. I know you folks do this at the Barry Co. Fair. We would like to have cash awards at several of our pulls next year. Anyone else have any input on this subject. Thanks

I have an idea for those who object to money pulls in favor of trophies. Divide each weight class into 2 divisions, one for trophies and one for prize money. Buy the trophy pullers their $5 trophy, and take the remainder percentage of their money after expenses are covered and add it to the amount that is designated for the money pullers payout and everybody should be happy. Those who want to pull for trophies will get there $5 dust collecting trophy and those who like the cash payout to offset expenses will get a little extra money the trophy pullers don't want. This way everybody wins and you can draw in more pullers/hooks.

I think it a great idea. They do payback in Indiana where I pull, and farmstock has alot of entries, and the purses get pretty good, but not soo much money that it ruins the sport. But it sure is nice to get your hook money back for the whole day, and some gas money...Andrew
