I just got a 350 parts tractor with I think a H engine in it. I got the casting number off the head and a fellow tells me its a high compression H head. Will it improve my little stock H I play around pulling ?? Is it worth any more than a stock H head, money wise ?? Thanks

The casting # you are looking for is 361479 R1 this is the 300/350 high compression gas head it is a big improvement over the H head. You can get a H down in the 3500# class pretty easy and have moveable weight. An LP head is hard to come by and very expensive.

good to see you are gonna run an H sam. the 4k class would be your best bet. no benefit on the other head unless your h is dual fuel it looks like that head would bump you to 5.75 to 1. so that is a compression point
end of april is the first pull, so get out the polish and tune her up.
