My dad used some later Allis farm tractor piston, I think it was a diesel but I will have to check for the exact tractor!!

Early JD Ds used 6.5" . Try some of the aftermarket ones for other JDs or CATs. Check with www.egge.com or www.niagrapistonringworks.com

For a "B"..??? I do hope NOT..!! Valves are too small and the intake system will never feed them...!!

I guess pistons are just a CNC away too. Just looking for something a little less "spensive. I think the 70 PB pistons are a great idea, but they"ll be way too tall. Still lookin...

500+ cubes in a B. And if I put top cut tires on I can still pull in the stock class. WHoo-hoo.

Try to find some 70 JD (TSC) Power Block - 6.500 bore pistons. Make sure to look for stress cracks.

5.750 will work. 6 inch ran into trouble.
6 1/2 - You are talking a new block.

Now we're on the same page, bigmotors...The key is being able to build several of them, not just one. (that's what's keeping me from jumping right in. I've got all my dimensions, costs and what not and ready to go). Tooling is really expensive.
