Ken,The infamous Pewamo rim width incedent of 2005 did irreparable damage to our club. We had decided to ignore rim width until post season where it could be clarified (or eliminated) somewhere other than on the track, but an overzealous official was trying to make a political statement. Unfortunately, I was not in attendance that weekend. Regarding your WD and its stock rims, even had they been justified in enforcing a rim width rule, our rules clearly state: "If tires are other than what rules specify, burden of proof of stock tire size is on the puller." I believe this applied to rims. Meaning, if it rolled out the factory doors, it's good. They had no right to DQ you. Farm Stock should have NO EXCUSES either. Rules are quite clear in that case. We use a slow speed limit and a strict one beep rule to get a handle on any extra horsepower. Externaly all Farm Stock engines have to be by the book. No cut tires means NO cut tires. I will bring your message with me to the next meeting and believe me, you are not the only one. Action will be taken. Ethan Berry Clintonia Antique Pullers
