I buddy of mine had his Camaro totalled but because the rear end got ran over and not the front he know has a Chevy 454 worked over with nothing to run it in. We were joking around as we pulled it out about trying to put it on my A.C. model B and enter it in a pull. I have never pulled a day in my life other than plows and have only ever been to one pull so I have no idea what the rules allow. I was just kind of wondering if something like that kind of monster would be allowed in.

I am currently putting a 454 in my '52 Massey Harris 55. Up here in NW Washington our club, PSATMA, has started a naw class allowing V8 conversions. It started with a W9 that got an International truck motor in it. The tractors retain a stock appearance, other than the motors. No stretched frames or ridiculous sized tires.

I dont know where you are located, but there are several clubs around the country that would allow this combination. The problem you will run into is that many of the V-8 classes are for small blocks.

Personally I dont think it would take much of a 454 at all to turn anything and everything from the clutch back into schrapnel in that tractor. If you really want to use that engine, I would try to get a M Farmall or a 88 Oliver....something that has a little more beef in the drivetrain than a AC-B.

If you Pull with the " Southern Maine Cheaters Club " it will be more than accepted. Heck one of them Bozos will even bring a Book saying it was an Option for that Tractor ..... It may be written in French Though !!!

Bon Jour ! hah ha
